Game Daily has a brief synopsis of the first reviews of The Sims 3.
“The very first reviews for Sims 3 have hit the Web and from the excerpts on Metacritic — the reviews seem positively glowing. PC Gamer magazine scored the game a 92/100, calling it the “best Sims game yet” and PC Zone UK magazine, which also scored the game a 92, says something along the same lines.”

casualgaming.biz has had an interview with associate producer Grant Rodiek.
This interview addresses many things, in particular this article discusses the female fanbase and female members of the development team of The Sims 3.
“We have a large female presence throughout our team – more than the typical game development team. Obviously we don’t have a design document titled ‘Sims for Females’, but it’s something we always have on our minds.”

Pocket Gamer has two articles about The Sims 3 for iPhone.
The first is an interview with game producer Justin Taber.
“… tells us about the process of bringing this huge game onto a little device, tapping into the potential of its sophisticated features while keeping that Sims humour and intuitive gameplay intact.”
The second reveals the gameplay and goal aspects of the game.
“”The 75 goals in the game exist primarily to help you discover more aspects of the gameplay and don’t focus you so much that you lose the sandbox feeling.”
Venture Beat also has an article looking at The Sims 3 for iPhone. It talks about the gameplay and the plans EA has for the game in the future.
“EA plans to upgrade it once the iPhone 3.0 software ships. That software will include a payment system for virtual goods.”

The Hollywood Reporter has an article on the marketing aspects of The Sims 3.
“EA senior director of marketing John Buchanan says the push for “Sims 3″ is 150% bigger than the one that accompanied the 2004 launch of “Sims 2.”“
MacWorld UK reports on an event at the London flagship Apple Store who are hosting an event with features associate producer Grant Rodiek ”… who will talk about the enhanced character AI and in-game customisation.“
The event is on Friday, 5 June between 3pm and 4pm at Apple Store, Regent Street.
