casualgaming.biz interview with Grant Rodiek

casualgaming.biz has had an interview with associate producer Grant Rodiek.

This interview addresses many things, in particular this article discusses the female fanbase and female members of the development team of The Sims 3.

“We have a large female presence throughout our team – more than the typical game development team. Obviously we don’t have a design document titled ‘Sims for Females’, but it’s something we always have on our minds.”

The Sims 3 for iPhone

Pocket Gamer has two articles about The Sims 3 for iPhone.

The first is an interview with game producer Justin Taber.

“... tells us about the process of bringing this huge game onto a little device, tapping into the potential of its sophisticated features while keeping that Sims humour and intuitive gameplay intact.”

The second reveals the gameplay and goal aspects of the game.

“"The 75 goals in the game exist primarily to help you discover more aspects of the gameplay and don't focus you so much that you lose the sandbox feeling."

Venture Beat also has an article looking at The Sims 3 for iPhone. It talks about the gameplay and the plans EA has for the game in the future.

“EA plans to upgrade it once the iPhone 3.0 software ships. That software will include a payment system for virtual goods.”
